About Us
The Painted Fish Gallery opened in 1995 in downtown Dunedin, a small
community rich with activities for both residents and visitors. The
Pinellas Trail, the county's excellent walk/jog/bicycle route, is right
outside our front door. The proximity of St. Joseph Sound and the Gulf
of Mexico only a few blocks away inspires artists who often paint
outdoors. The spacious gallery is centrally located in Dunedin's
shopping district with hotels, B&B's, and a wonderful variety of
restaurants in walking distance.
Over a period of sixteen years The Painted Fish Gallery has become a
destination for art collectors seeking original and custom artworks for
home and business. Artist owners Bill and Linda Renc present a blend of
contemporary paintings, prints & calligraphy, including selected guest
artists in various media. Previous featured shows have included
printmaking, handmade books, stained glass, quilts, photography,
ceramics and medieval manuscripts.
Our ongoing indoor concert series showcases talented folk & acoustic
performers. Featured musicians to date: Susan & Bill Haley, Mike
Jurgensen & 2PM, Dave Hardin, Gove Scrivenor and Brendan Nolan. Check
this page for new upcoming events! Send us an email & we'll put you on
the concert notice list.

"From time to time the Painted Fish will play host to an in-house concert, and one of the performers I’ve met who genuinely loves the Gulf Coast is musician Gove Scrivenor. A seasoned singer and songwriter, he’s lived in many places but now calls Dunedin home. Gove has recorded and performed with Doc Watson, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and John Prine to name but a few. He may not do Jimmy Buffett, but his extensive folk & blues repertoire does include a song or two about dolphins and boats. It’s amazing how many talented music people there are in this area, willing to share their music just about anyplace like beach bars, back porches and even art galleries."
